One of the favorite stalls among locals in Juru during lunch hours is the Warung Kelapa Sawit. This Malay warung is famous for their deep fried crispy pomfret. During peak hours you will see a long line of customers queuing up to pick up the freshly fried fish and topped it with its thick spicy soya sauce. The stall of course has its other dishes such as curry chicken, vegetables, eggs and etc, but pretty much all their customers head out there for those succulent deep fried pomfret.
So if you are out and about in Juru, Penang, don’t forget to drop by and check out this wonderful warung.
