SEPANG, MALAYSIA, 5 September 2026 – Formula 1 fans heading to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026 will have another major attraction to look forward to, with internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Martin Garrix confirmed to perform live at Sepang International Circuit on Sunday, 4 October.
The multi-platinum-selling Dutch artist will take to the stage for the official post-race concert following the Formula 1 race, adding a major music spectacle to what is already shaping up to be a landmark motorsport weekend at Sepang International Circuit.
The announcement was made by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and Sepang International Circuit (SIC), with the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia scheduled to take place from 2 to 4 October 2026.
For race fans hoping to catch Garrix’s performance, however, there is a deadline to take note of.
Concert ticket upgrades will be available exclusively to race weekend ticket holders who purchased their tickets by midnight on 7 September. Eligible ticket holders can upgrade their tickets from 8 September at a cost of US$100 per person, subject to availability.
With concert capacity limited, upgrades will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with instructions sent directly to eligible ticket holders via email.
Fans who have yet to secure their race weekend tickets are therefore encouraged to do so before the 7 September deadline if they want the opportunity to attend the post-race concert.
Garrix brings plenty of international star power to the event. The 30-year-old artist is one of electronic music’s most successful DJs and producers, having been ranked No. 1 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll multiple times and accumulating more than one billion streams worldwide.
His career includes collaborations with major artists such as Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, U2, Bebe Rexha, Khalid, Macklemore, Avicii and Madonna.Garrix shot to international fame in 2013 with his breakthrough single Animals, which topped charts around the world and helped propel electronic dance music further into the mainstream.
Since then, he has performed at some of the world’s biggest events and festivals, including the Winter Olympics, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland.
With the Formula 1 race set to provide the high-speed action on track and one of the world’s biggest electronic music stars taking over the stage afterwards, the 2026 event at Sepang is shaping up to be a full-day motorsport and entertainment experience.
