With just two weeks to go before the engines roar at the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2025 (24–26 October), preparations are now reaching their final and most crucial phase. In a joint press conference with Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) today, several key updates were shared to ensure a smooth and safe experience for fans and visitors.

???? Traffic & Security
Despite this year’s race coinciding with the ASEAN Summit 2025, PDRM has assured that traffic control and security are well under control. A total of 450 personnel will be deployed to manage routes and ensure smooth travel for spectators heading to Sepang.Highlighted alternative routes to PSIC (Sepang Circuit) include:
Toll Exit Serenia → Jalan Kota Warisan → Jalan Labohan Dagang → Bulatan KLIA → PSIC
Toll Exit Nilai → Salak Tinggi → Kuarters KLIA → PSIC
All parking at SIC will now carry a standard fee — RM10 for motorcycles and RM20 for cars. To ease movement, shuttle bus services will operate in collaboration with Prasarana, with departures from KL Sentral, KLIA, and selected pick-up points.
????️ Attendance & Ticket Sales
Malaysia continues to assert its dominance as the motorsport hub of Southeast Asia, with ticket sales now at 85% of circuit capacity. SIC remains confident of achieving the 200,000 spectator target across the three race days. Entry for children aged 6 and below remains free, maintaining family-friendly access.
???????? The Hakim Danish Effect
While Marc Marquez’s absence due to injury could have cast a shadow elsewhere, Malaysia’s MotoGP spirit remains undimmed — and even stronger. The spotlight has now shifted to local hero Hakim Danish, who will compete as a ‘wildcard’ rider in the Moto3 class on home soil. His participation has ignited a new wave of national pride, with fans eagerly planning their pilgrimage to Sepang to witness the rising star race before their very eyes.
???? SIC’s Call to Fans
SIC urges fans to plan their journeys early, follow traffic advisories, and utilize the shuttle services for a seamless experience.
“The MalaysianGP is more than just a race — it’s the nation’s biggest motorsport festival, a symbol of Malaysia’s racing culture, and a celebration of our new generation of two-wheel talent,” said SIC in a joint statement.
