AirAsia X has announced the commencement of a new direct route to Lanzhou, one of the largest cities in northeast China, beginning May 1.
The long-haul budget carrier said the four times a week service would be the only direct service to the capital of Gansu Province from Kuala Lumpur and AirAsia X is offering all-inclusive member fare from as low as RM149 for standard seats and RM789 for premium flatbed via airasia.com or AirAsia mobile app until March 24 to mark the launch of this new route. The offer will be for travel period between May 1 and Oct 26, 2019.

Lanzhou is the capital city of Gansu Province in northwest China. The Yellow River, runs through the city, ensuring rich crops of a wide varieties of juicy and fragrant fruits.
The city is the transportation and telecommunication hub of the region which covers an area of 1631.6 square kilometers (629.96 square miles), it was once a key point on the ancient Silk Road. Today, Lanzhou is the hub of the Silk Road Tourism Ring, with Maiji Caves to the east, Bingling Temple Grottoes to the west, Labrang Monastery to the south and Dunhuang Mogao Caves to the north.
