Malaysians who are working in Singapore will be able to return once both governments reach a resolution as Singapore’s circuit breaker measures ended on June 1.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said discussions are now being held for Malaysians to travel back and forth again once the terms have been outlined, especially those living in Johor.
“Malaysia is prepared to agree to Malaysians undergoing Covid-19 screening before resuming work in Singapore.
“The government thanks Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim, the Temasek group and the Thompson Medical Group in Singapore for their offer to contribute test kits and two mobile Covid-19 test laboratories, ” he said.
The minister also recommended for those working in Singapore to download the MySejahtera app which crashed yesterday as 700,000 Malaysians tried to download and register for the service.
