Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, today launched the New Ford Ranger FX4 in Malaysia via Facebook and YouTube Live through a product walkaround session, the first pickup truck in the country to be launched on both platforms simultaneously.

The New Ford Ranger FX4 has a unique identity with a new design mesh grille in Ebony Black, plus 18-inch gloss black rims wrapped in All-Terrain Tyres. The striking bold ‘FX4’ decal and emblem that is set against its muscular exterior provides even more distinction against the other Ranger variants.
The strong FX4 identity continues inside the cabin with leather-accented seats that are embossed with the striking FX4 logos on the seatbacks. These complement the contrasting red stitching that has been applied to the gear selector, center console, instrument panel, center console, door trims, handbrake and the Ranger’s FX4 steering wheel.
Special FX4-branded carpet mats finish its interior enhancements, retaining the Ranger’s premium and comfortable car-like interior.
Designed for customers who want to blend city living with off-the-grid adventures over tough terrain on weekends, the New Ford Ranger FX4 is powered by the proven Duratorq 2.2L turbodiesel engine matted on a six-speed automatic transmission, delivering 160 PS with a peak torque of 385Nm.
The truck is also packed with a host of smart technologies and safety features which includes an eight-inch touchscreen display, SYNC ® multimedia system with reversing camera, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4, rain-sensing wipers, the light and nimble Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), daytime running lights and headlights for better visibility. It also comes with two airbags, Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control and Adaptive Load Control.

The New Ford Ranger FX4 is available in three colors – Meteor Grey, Absolute Black and Artic White and is priced from RM126,888 on-the-road, without insurance and comes with a manufacturer’s warranty of three years or up to 100,000km, whichever comes first.
