Viper Niza Racing Team wrapped up their 2025 season with a gritty 3rd place finish in the GT3-AM Class—and 8th overall—at the inaugural Michelin 12 Hours of Malaysia, reaffirming their strength on home soil at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit.
The all-Malaysian trio of Douglas Khoo, Dominic Ang, and Melvin Moh delivered a spirited performance, even leading the race at one stage before an unexpected setback forced them into an unscheduled pit stop. A pair of loose bolts in the steering rack assembly required immediate inspection, costing the team four laps before their Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO rejoined the fight.

Despite the interruption, the team clawed back into podium contention, ultimately completing 311 laps—behind the Origine Motorsport Porsche (319 laps) and Continental Racing by Simpson Audi (315 laps). All 17 starters impressively made it to the chequered flag under nearly perfect weather conditions.
“The race was challenging, but fortunately the issue wasn’t major. That short pit stop cost us valuable time to two very competitive teams,” said lead driver and Team Principal Douglas Khoo. “We wanted badly to win our home race, but completing the 12 hours strong is what truly matters.”
2025 has been a milestone year for Viper Niza Racing, marked by multiple podiums across Asia and Europe—including top-three finishes at the Motul 12 Hours of Sepang, Michelin 12H of Spa-Francorchamps, 12H of Paul Ricard, and a commendable 4th overall in the Michelin 24H European Series GT3-AM standings despite missing one round.

Armed with valuable experience, the team has confirmed its return to Europe in 2026 to contest all five rounds of the Michelin 24H Series. The new season kicks off at the Michelin 12H of Mugello (20–22 March), followed by stops in Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain.
Viper Niza Racing continues to enjoy strong support from Motul, Endless & Momentum Autoparts, IWC (Official Watch Brand), Jen Orchardgateway Singapore, and Vida Sparkling Drink.
