Kuala Lumpur – TWO Japanese iconic builds by legendary tuning house Liberty Walk will go on display at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur to be held from 8-10 August at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Fans can also look forward to merchandise booth by Liberty Walk and get a chance to meet with its founder and owner Wataru Kato.
Flown in specially from Japan, Liberty Walk will showcase two of its showstoppers – the world-famous Ferrari F40 and the Super Silhouette ER34.
The Ferrari F40 was unveiled in 2023 and quickly gained worldwide notoriety for its trademark bolted wide arches and suspension drop. This is the same car that had been reportedly removed from Ferrari’s official registry due to the extensive modifications and other aftermarket parts, that is said to deviate from Ferrari’s design philosophy.

Already an iconic sports car, known for its performance and design, the F40 retains its original 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 471 horsepower and 578 Nm of torque. The car’s lightweight construction and performance-oriented design are enhanced by the addition of Liberty Walk’s signature bolted wide arches and suspension drop. It features a wide-body kit (front cowl, front diffuser, side diffusers, prominent bolt-on fender flares, a lowered suspension, rear diffuser and a rear wing) designed to make it have an even more aggressive stance and enhances aerodynamics.

And instead of the F40’s Rosso Corsa Red, the car is also given a very distinctive white wrap with red round logos on the door creating a similar look to the A6M Japanese Zero fighters of World War 2.
The Super Silhouette ER34 meanwhile, was a build Liberty Walk shook the scene with at Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 and was modeled after the KDR30 Skyline driven by Masahiro Hasemi in the 1982 and 1983 Super Silhouette Formula race series, with its red and black livery now becoming legendary in the form of diecast models.
The car has had its ER34 factory-fitted RB25DET NEO swapped out in favour of a stroked 3.1-liter L28 engine with three twin-draft 50mm Solex carburetors.
To achieve the race car look of the past, it features a racy front Bumper, wide boxy fenders, side skirts, a new front bonnet, rear bumper, rear diffuser and a very pronounced rear wing. A set of 18×11-inch Yokohama Advan Racing GT wheels mounted with hub extenders and air suspension completes its menacing stance.
