After driving about 45 minutes from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, you will arrive in this small kampung warung called Warung Bunian (between Kajang and Putrajaya). Reasons I took such a long drive out is because my stomach was calling out for their creatively prepared Nasi Lemak Telur Bungkus.
A simple dish .. the all-time favorite of fragrant nasi lemak wrapped in a sambal-infused omelette cooked on the flat pan and then topped with the delicious tasting sambal ikan bilis, cucumber and a salted fish, but the place definitely draws its crowd.
On Sundays, they do have an upgraded version of the Nasi Lemak Bunian, which is pretty much the same as above but they added in some rendang ayam cincang (minced chicken rendang) into the rice, however, trying both, I still prefer the original version as I felt the rendang gives a confusing taste to the nasi lemak.
The Nasi Lemak Telur Bungkus is RM 3.50 each while the Nasi Lemak Bunian is RM 5.50. They also do serve roti canai (RM0.90) and Roti Jiwa Kacau (some sort of a murtabak without the roti skin) (RM 3.00).
Service is fast, you do your Covid19 SOP MySahjetera scan and temperature check, put in your order and pay and they will direct you to your table. A wait staff will serve you the food ordered promptly (if its not too crowded). However there is always a queue to get into the warung.
Parking can a bit hassle as there are limited parking spaces around the warung.
