Drive-in cinemas was an in-thing in America in the 50s and 60s, peaking at about 4,000 locations but has since dwindled to just about 330 now. However, with the recent Covid-19 pandemic, these drive-in cinemas might make a come-back as movies goers are looking at a safer alternative than the usual cineplex.
Thailand opened its first drive-in cinema last week with about 80 cars making it to the inaugural screening, and Malaysian can be expecting to have an opportunity to enjoy a movie in the comfort of their car with the opening of M-Junction 2020 soon in Kuala Lumpur
M-Junction 2020 announced on their Instagram Account about the upcoming opening of Malaysia’s First Drive-In Cinema and it has been the buzz on the social media for the past few days.
Organized by TwoSpicy Entertainment Live and MDEvents Asia, M-Junction 2020 will definitely be something for Malaysians to look forward to.
To book your tickets, do head out to www.mjunction.my, however no price, movie listings or exact opening dates have been announced.
