According to www.Utusan.com.my the tourism sector in for the whole of Terengganu will resume in two days on September 1, 2021, including all the hotel and resort in the islands.
According to State Executive Councillor for Tourism, Culture and Information Technology, YB Ariffin Deraman only Pulau Perhentian is excluded from this opening due to the recent Covid-19 spread.
“The tourism industry will be officially opened starting September 1 and the people in the state can start making their travel bookings now. The opening of the state tourism including water activities such as snorkeling, scuba and swimming pool will be opened according to SOP where 60% capacity are allowed,” according to Arrifin.
However accommodation in the state will only be available for those who have completed the two doses of vaccination. Arrifin added that all the staff of hotels and resorts in the state have received their vaccination for the safety of everyone.
He also mentioned in his press conference that a few indoor attractions such as the Taman Tamadun Islam (TTI), State Museum, Zoo and Theme Park are still closed.
