The AEON Credit MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) returns this weekend at the Sepang International Circuit, and all eyes are on Law Kiew Huey as he takes on the MSBK1000 B race category.
After a challenging Round 1, where he managed to clinch the 1st runner-up spot despite a tough race, Kiew Huey came back stronger in Round 2. His persistence and improved performance earned him the Weekend Champion title with a total of 45 points, edging out closest rival Kamarul Izad Ishak. Now, the Malaysian rider is determined to maintain his momentum in Round 3.
Reflecting on his journey so far, Kiew Huey shared,
“I approached the first round of the race with a mindset of experiencing it. I felt that my performance in Race 1 was pretty good, but unfortunately not so in Race 2 when I crashed out. In the second round, I noticed my stamina was lacking, so I put in all my effort to catch up with the riders in the front troop in Race 2. So far, I am feeling good and confident that I can get better results. I am looking forward to the coming race for sure, knowing that I will be able to learn more and achieve more.”
Despite balancing a full-time job alongside racing, Kiew Huey is committed to giving his best.
“In terms of preparation, there is not much difference from previous rounds. Finding time to build up my physique isn’t easy, but I am motivated to keep the momentum going. The rivalry in this category is strong—rider no. 298 will surely be a tough competitor with excellent stamina and consistency. Riding can be tiring, which is why it’s important to be built both physically and mentally.”

On his machine, the 2025 BMW S1000RR, Kiew Huey admitted that the learning curve has been steep.
“The engine and electronics were in factory state when I first got it. I’ve since replaced some basic components and even changed the suspension on the fly during the second round. That has been the most difficult aspect. I’ve been working on suspensions from the beginning of the season, but we’re still not entirely clear on how to make it work. Joey Teo (no. 16) has a lot of knowledge with the BMW S1000RR, and maybe I can get some insights from him. With MSBK, there’s still a long way to go. I want to continue learning and gaining as much experience as I can.”
With his determination, a powerful machine under him, and lessons learned from previous rounds, Kiew Huey heads into Round 3 ready to push harder and chase another strong result at Sepang.
