In light of the current Covid-19 situation, Olive Tree Hotel in Penang has started their meal delivery services for the resident of Bayan Lepas, Batu Maung, Sg Ara and Gelugor.
You will be able to find breakfast, lunch and dinner menu available in their dedicated site – https://olivetreehotel.easy.co with meals starting from as low as RM 8.90. Most of the meals also come with a complimentary iced or hot-lemon tea and delivery charges are waived for orders exceeding RM 40.
We tried out the pick-up service today and found it to be efficient. We submitted order a few items – Nasi Goreng Kampung, Chicken Mushroom Alfredo and the Spicy Prawn Pizza at 1:45pm through their web and set for pick up at 6:00pm.
The food were hot, fresh and delicious too and we especially loved the Nasi Goreng Kampung and the Chicken Mushroom Alfredo. The pizza tasted great, but I usually prefer mine the thin crispy crust compared to the thicker hand toss.
The Kampung Fried Rice comes with some crunchy keropok and a nice piece of deep-fried chicken wings. The rice is slightly spicy but very fragrant as it is cooked with deep-fried anchovies. The whole set comes with a fried egg and a glass of iced lemon tea.
The Chicken Mushroom Alfredo meanwhile is wonderful, very creamy and has taste good especially the aroma from the herbs used. You also find a lot of mushrooms chunks and chicken slice in that box of pasta. *Highly Recommended*
You can pre-order your items at anytime (kitchen closes 7:30pm as according to MCO regulations) on their dedicated website and selected either delivery or pick-up.
Just an extra note, the food were packed in a nice eco-friendly take-away box.

This is definitely a good way for the hotel to ensure their staff are productive and also a good way to keep Penangites safe at home with delicious food.
