MotoMini Malaysia initiative to nurture young talent, with mentoring opportunities from international racers Hakim Danish and Qabil Irfan
PETALING JAYA, 28 October 2026 – CelcomDigi Berhad is strengthening its commitment to Malaysian motorsports development through a partnership with ZK Racing Team to support MotoMini Malaysia, a grassroots initiative aimed at nurturing the country’s next generation of motorcycle racing talent.
The collaboration, undertaken through CelcomDigi’s Arena CelcomDigi programme, seeks to introduce more young Malaysians to motorsports while establishing a structured pathway for rider development through professional training, competitive experience and mentorship.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to identifying promising young riders early and equipping them with the skills and exposure needed to progress towards higher levels of competition.

Building on the Success of Malaysian Racing Talent
The partnership builds on the achievements of Malaysian riders Hakim Danish and Qabil Irfan, who have emerged as prominent young talents on the international motorsports scene.
Their journeys highlight the importance of dedication, structured development and access to competitive opportunities in helping young riders progress through the racing ranks.
As part of the collaboration, two promising young riders will be identified for further development and mentoring. They will have opportunities to learn directly from Hakim and Qabil through knowledge-sharing sessions, gaining insights into the demands and experiences of competing in international motorcycle racing.
CelcomDigi Head of Brand and Marketing Services Chan May Ling said the initiative reflects the company’s belief in sport as a platform for bringing Malaysians together while creating opportunities for young people to pursue their ambitions.
Through its partnership with ZK Racing Team and MotoMini Malaysia, CelcomDigi hopes to inspire more youngsters to explore motorsports, develop confidence in their abilities and access the opportunities needed to compete at higher levels.
ZK Racing Team Director Zulfahmi Khairuddin said MotoMini Malaysia was established to give young riders the opportunity to learn, compete and develop from an early age.
He added that the collaboration with CelcomDigi would help broaden participation in motorsports while providing young riders with the guidance and exposure required to progress in the sport.
A Pathway from Grassroots to International Competition
Open to children as young as six, MotoMini Malaysia provides a structured introduction to motorcycle racing, allowing participants to develop their skills through grassroots competition before progressing towards more advanced levels.
The programme also offers a potential pathway to international competition, including the FIM MiniGP World Final in Valencia, Spain.
With the latest partnership, CelcomDigi and ZK Racing Team aim to strengthen the foundations of Malaysian motorcycle racing by investing in emerging talent and creating opportunities for the next generation to follow in the footsteps of established young racers.
The long-term ambition is to develop a stronger pipeline of Malaysian riders capable of competing against international rivals and representing the country on the global stage.
