More than 800 BYD owners, families, partners and guests came together for an exclusive two-day AllStar Legends experience featuring some of football’s biggest names.
KUALA LUMPUR — Dreams met football royalty as BYD Sime Motors brought together more than 800 BYD owners, staff, partners and management for an exclusive two-day AllStar Legends experience, marking what the company described as Malaysia’s largest BYD owners gathering.
Bringing together the worlds of electric mobility, football and community, the event gave BYD owners and their families an opportunity to get up close with some of the biggest names to have graced the Premier League and international football.
Among the visiting legends were Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Ryan Giggs, Alessandro Del Piero, Dida and Javier Saviola, who took part in a packed programme featuring exclusive meet-and-greet sessions, a Legends Talk, Gala Dinner and the much-anticipated AllStar Legends football match at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
More Than Just a Car Club
For BYD Sime Motors, AllStar Legends was about more than putting famous footballers and BYD owners in the same room.
It was an experience built around the idea of pursuing dreams, challenging limits and celebrating achievement — values closely aligned with BYD’s “Build Your Dreams” philosophy.
The experience began on 2 October, with the visiting football legends touring Kuala Lumpur before making appearances at BYD Glenmarie and BYD TREC Kuala Lumpur, travelling in BYD vehicles.
Owners subsequently had the opportunity to meet the football icons personally, hear their stories of determination and success, and connect with fellow members of the growing BYD community.
And for the younger generation, the weekend delivered a memory that will likely last a lifetime.
Selected children from BYD-owning families were given the opportunity to walk onto the pitch alongside their football heroes as official Kid Mascots ahead of the AllStar Legends match.
For parents and children alike, it was a genuine “once-in-a-lifetime” moment — seeing their kids walk beside football stars they had grown up watching on television.
Building Dreams Beyond Mobility
Jacob Ma, Managing Director of BYD Malaysia, said the event reflected the deeper meaning behind the brand’s “Build Your Dreams” philosophy.
“At BYD, ‘Build Your Dreams’ is more than a brand promise. It is about inspiring people to pursue their passions and achieve what once seemed impossible.”
He added that the football legends who visited Malaysia had changed the game through talent, dedication and an unwavering pursuit of excellence — qualities that similarly reflect BYD’s approach to electric mobility.
Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Motors, Southeast Asia, meanwhile, highlighted the importance of creating experiences that extend beyond vehicle ownership.

According to Gan, AllStar Legends was designed to strengthen the connection between BYD and its growing owner community through shared passions, exclusive access and memorable experiences.
From BYD Owners to One Big Community
The gathering also gave owners the chance to meet fellow BYD drivers and share an experience that went well beyond their everyday journeys behind the wheel.
For BYD SEAL owner Sam Khoo, the weekend delivered exactly what its name promised.
“Meeting football legends, attending the Gala Dinner, and experiencing the match up close felt like a dream brought to life,” he said.
For the families of the Kid Mascots, the experience was even more personal.
Fatin, owner of a BYD SEALION 7, described seeing her child walk onto the pitch alongside the football legends in front of thousands of fans as an incredibly proud moment.
