BURIRAM, THAILAND – Malaysia’s Wing Hin Motorsports heads into this weekend’s opening round of the TSS The Super Series and Thailand Super Series with its biggest driver line-up yet, returning as defending GT4 champions while launching an ambitious four-car campaign in the highly competitive Super Touring category.
The team enters the 2026 season determined to defend its GT4 crown after an impressive championship-winning campaign last year. Leading the charge once again is Mitchell Cheah, who returns following his title-winning debut season in the category.

This season, however, sees a strategic shift within the team. Former co-driver Naquib Azlan moves into a new role as driver engineer and driver coach, while Cheah will partner Hong Kong racer Ryan Wong aboard the #39 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 in the Pro-Am category.
Wong, who raced with Wing Hin Motorsports in last year’s Super Touring category, is among the young talents supported through the team’s Customer Racing Program, designed to create a development pathway for emerging Asian drivers.
Wing Hin Motorsports enters the season opener carrying strong momentum after a dominant 2025 campaign that delivered three race victories, four second-place finishes, and two podium third-place results en route to the championship title.
“After winning the championship in my debut GT4 season, I’m happy to be back once again competing in Thailand,” said Mitchell Cheah.
“This year we’re moving from a silver/silver driver pairing to a silver/bronze pairing. Preparations have been going well, and naturally the target is to defend and secure a second consecutive title.
“It won’t be easy with such a competitive field of teams and drivers, but I’ll give it everything as always. Racing is a team sport, and everyone behind the scenes has worked incredibly hard to get us to this point. I’m grateful to Wing Hin Motorsports for the immense support.”
The GT4 field is expected to feature strong competition, including at least five Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 entries alongside rivals such as the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, Mercedes-AMG GT4, and Aston Martin Vantage.

Beyond its title defence, Wing Hin Motorsports is also mounting a substantial challenge in the Thailand Super Series Super Touring category with four entries and eight drivers.
Leading the effort will be the #36 Toyota Vios featuring Nabil Azlan and CIMB-sponsored driver Amer Harris.
The #9 Toyota Vios — one of three customer entries under the team’s programme — will be driven by Nick Teo and Ian Wong. While Teo returns for his second Thailand Super Series season after campaigning a Toyota Yaris previously, Ian Wong faces a baptism of fire in his debut season in one of the championship’s most fiercely contested categories.
Wing Hin’s two Toyota Yaris entries further strengthen the Malaysian squad’s line-up.
The #38 Toyota Yaris pairs long-serving team driver Dannies Ng, entering his ninth season with Wing Hin Motorsports, alongside 2025 Vios Challenge Sporting Class champion Jwan Hii, who will make his Thailand racing debut.
Meanwhile, the #39 Toyota Yaris will feature Thailand’s Varunchit Wattanathanakun (Monai) and female racer Mekkaradkeeta Kalantananda (Ni-Ne). Wattanathanakun previously teamed up with Nick Teo during the 2025 season, achieving a seventh-place overall finish.
The 2026 TSS The Super Series and Thailand Super Series calendar will consist of five rounds, beginning this weekend at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram. The series will then head to the Bangsaen Grand Prix street circuit in July before visiting the Sepang International Circuit for Rounds 3 and 4 in August and September respectively, with the championship finale returning to Buriram in late October.
