The team from roadtrippers.asia recently had the opportunity to check-in and stay in the lovely Krabi Resort at the famed Ao Nang Beach in the beach city of Krabi.
The Krabi Resort is nested strategically on the magnificient Ao Nang beach and is recognized as the only resort on Ao Nang that has own private beach. Krabi Resort has its building, facilities, pools, rooms and villas nicely spread across acres of lush tropical greens with breathtaking view of the Andaman Sea.
Ao Nang is the most popular beach in Krabi and by being right on the beach itself, gives Krabi Resort easy access to lots of shops, restaurants, and bars that lined the pristine beach.
We arrived at Krabi Resort after our kayaking adventure to Ao Luek and the check in was swift and easy. They have prepared us a Tropical Pool Villa for our night stay at the resort. Once we had our keys, we were shuttled by golf cart to our Tropical Pool Villa with our luggage and equipment.
The newly renovated Thai traditional villa is amazing – its 143 sqm in size, have a good size living area, a super-sized bathroom with a huge jacuzzi tub, separate shower stall and a walk in closet, as well as an over-sized bedroom with comfortable king bed. Both the living area and the bedroom opens to the private pool. The bedroom also opens out to a terrace with lounge chairs.
The villa was so comfortable and relaxing that none of us wanted to leave for a stroll at shops at Ao Nang. So we just walked around the resort and head out to Sunset Point at its private beach for an excellent vantage point of the sunset over the Andaman Sea.
We also check out the various other resort facilities such as the main nautica-themed swimming pool that host a boat shaped Skipper Pool bar and Restaurant.
After sun-down we went back to our villa, supposingly to get ready for our night out at Ao Nang area but I guess the villa was just too tempting for all to stay in and do some take-outs for dinner.
We stayed up pretty late that evening, enjoying the pool, some SKY wine coolers and lovely pizzas.
We woke up early the next day for breakfast at The Boat Restaurant which serves a wide spread of American and Asian buffet breakfast. The restaurant is huge, easily catering to 250 pax, breakfast spread was alright, with choices of coffee, juices, seasonal fruits and salads, good choice of Asian and American hot breakfast, live cooking stations for yutiaos, eggs, bacons, and noodles.
After a heavy breakfast, we went out to the beach for some photos and videos and pack to get ready to head out to Phuket.
I would say in conclusion, the Krabi Resort is beautiful, well-kept and strategically located in Ao Nang with its own private beach. The rooms are clean, well appointed and comfortable. As a guest at the resort, you will have easy access to the Ao Nang shops, restaurants and bars. Rates at Krabi Resort starts from about 3,000 THB upwards.
