SERDANG, 16 September 2026 – The Malaysia Autoshow will return to MAEPS Serdang from 4 to 8 June 2027, with organisers promising another major gathering of vehicle manufacturers, technology providers, automotive industry stakeholders and motoring enthusiasts.
The announcement was made during the Jalur Gemilang Gathering at MAEPS Serdang, where more than 230 vehicles came together as part of a Malaysia Day celebration organised around the country’s automotive community.
Representing the four colours of the Jalur Gemilang – red, white, blue and yellow – the vehicles formed a large-scale automotive interpretation of Malaysia’s national flag, bringing together owners and enthusiasts from different backgrounds and motoring communities.
The gathering highlighted the diversity of Malaysia’s automotive culture, with participants united not by a particular vehicle brand, segment or type, but by a shared passion for motoring.
According to Mr Boo Dickson, CEO of Moonman Events, co-organiser of Malaysia Autoshow together with the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), grassroots engagement remains an important element of the event.
“Malaysia Autoshow is ultimately about people. Events like the Jalur Gemilang Gathering show how our shared passion for mobility can bring together Malaysians from different backgrounds, different communities and with different interests. On Malaysia Day, it is especially meaningful to see that community come together under one flag.”
Dickson also highlighted the breadth of Malaysia’s grassroots automotive scene, which extends beyond new vehicle launches and the automotive industry to include vehicle owners, clubs, enthusiasts and motoring communities across the country.
The country’s car culture has also attracted international attention, including a recent feature in the new season of The Grand Tour.
With grassroots participation continuing to form part of its wider strategy, Malaysia Autoshow 2027 is expected to combine its traditional role as a platform for manufacturers and automotive technology companies with opportunities for enthusiasts and the wider motoring community.
