KUALA TERENGGANU, June 2026 – The engines are set to roar once again as the Terengganu International Bike Week (TIBW) 2026 returns from 24 to 28 June 2026 at Dataran Shahbandar, Kuala Terengganu, promising to be one of Malaysia’s largest motorcycle gatherings while further positioning Terengganu as a premier tourism destination in the region.
Organised by Tourism Terengganu, the five-day event aims to bring together motorcycle enthusiasts from across Malaysia and abroad, while simultaneously boosting the state’s tourism economy, showcasing Terengganu’s rich cultural heritage, and strengthening its reputation as a host for large-scale automotive and lifestyle events.
A Gathering of Riders From Around the World
This year’s edition is targeting a total participation of 15,000 attendees, comprising 5,000 registered participants and an estimated 10,000 non-registered visitors throughout the event.
TIBW 2026 has also attracted strong international interest, with confirmed participation from several countries including:
- Thailand – approximately 200 motorcycles
- Singapore – 40 motorcycles
- Indonesia – 15 participants
- Brunei – 10 participants
- United States – 1 participant
- Japan – participation currently under consideration
Beyond the registered participants, organisers are expecting an overall attendance of approximately 90,000 visitors over the course of the event, including motorcycle enthusiasts, domestic tourists and local visitors.
More Than Just a Motorcycle Festival
While motorcycles remain the heart of the event, TIBW 2026 will also introduce several new attractions designed to broaden its appeal to families and visitors of all ages.
Among the highlights are a Coffee Festival, catering to Malaysia’s growing café culture, and a unique Survivor Village developed in collaboration with the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), offering visitors an immersive look into survival skills and military-themed activities.
These additions aim to create a more diverse festival atmosphere that extends beyond motorcycles and appeals to a wider audience.
Entertainment, Culture and Special Performances
Visitors can also look forward to an exciting lineup of entertainment and cultural showcases throughout the five-day event.
The main stage will feature performances by some of Malaysia’s most popular artists, including:
- Dato’ Awie
- Black Hanifah
- Apex Tajudin
- Bie
Adding a spiritual element to the programme, renowned preacher Ustaz Azhar Idrus is scheduled to deliver a special religious talk during the event.
Cultural and special performances will also form a major part of the festival programme, including:
- Traditional Terengganu cultural performances
- War Dance showcases
- Demonstrations by the Malaysian Armed Forces
- Amphibious boat demonstrations
These activities are expected to provide visitors with a deeper appreciation of Terengganu’s cultural identity while creating a vibrant festival atmosphere throughout the event.
