Mitchell Cheah and Ryan Wong secure GT4 honours while Nabil Azlan and Amer Harris deliver a dominant Super Touring victory at Chang International Circuit.
BURIRAM, THAILAND – Malaysian outfit Wing Hin Motorsports celebrated a successful weekend in Thailand after securing two race victories across the GT4 and Super Touring categories during the latest rounds of the TSS The Super Series and Thailand Super Series at Chang International Circuit.
The team delivered victories in both championships, with Mitchell Cheah and Hong Kong driver Ryan Wong taking the GT4 Class win in Round 4 of TSS The Super Series, while Nabil Azlan and Amer Harris claimed a commanding Super Touring victory in Round 3 of the Thailand Super Series.
The results highlighted Wing Hin Motorsports’ competitiveness across two different racing categories, although the weekend also brought its share of setbacks and unfortunate incidents.
Cheah and Wong deliver GT4 victory
Cheah and Wong opened their GT4 campaign on Saturday, 31 October, with an impressive performance in the #39 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

Starting fifth on the grid, the pairing fought their way through a competitive one-hour race to secure victory by just 0.331 seconds over Thailand’s Ananthorn T. and Supakit J. of PETROLIFE Racing Team.
The Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 also demonstrated its pace by occupying all three podium positions, with Prakhun P. and Todd K. of Inging x Autowerks Racing completing the top three.
However, hopes of securing a second consecutive victory ended prematurely during Sunday’s Race 2.
Running third and challenging for the lead with seven laps remaining, Wong was involved in an incident after overtaking a slower car. The subsequent collision damaged the car and prevented it from turning properly, forcing the team to retire.
Cheah described the incident as a disappointing end to what had been a promising weekend for the pairing.
Nabil and Amer bounce back with Super Touring triumph
Wing Hin Motorsports also fielded four cars in Round 3 of the Thailand Super Series’ Super Touring Class, with fortunes varying across the two races.
In Saturday’s Race 1, Nabil Azlan and Amer Harris looked set for a strong result in the #36 Toyota Vios after leading the one-hour contest at the halfway mark.
However, an unexpected technical issue affected the car shortly after Amer took over following the compulsory pit stop. Although he managed to keep the car running and avoid retirement, the loss of pace dropped the pairing as far back as 15th. They eventually recovered to finish 10th.

Their sister entry, the #38 Toyota Yaris of Jwan Hii and Dannies Ng, narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth, just one second outside the top three.
The #39 Toyota Yaris of Varunchit Wattanathanakun and Mekkaradkeeta Kalantananda was also running strongly for a potential top-five finish before a high-speed collision with two laps remaining flipped the car onto its roof. The incident brought the race to a conclusion behind the safety car.
Meanwhile, Nick Teo and Ian Wong retired from the race after completing 16 laps in the #9 Toyota Vios.
Sunday’s Race 2 provided a much-needed turnaround for Nabil and Amer.
The Malaysian pairing delivered a dominant performance, taking the chequered flag 17 seconds ahead of Vongsapat Ketsiri of Idemitsu Racing Team Thailand, who finished second in a Honda CRZ. Another Honda CRZ pairing, Peempol T. and Kajonsak N., completed the podium.
Amer credited the team’s preparation and race strategy for the convincing result.
He explained that the car’s performance allowed them to establish a substantial advantage from the opening stages, enabling the pairing to manage their pace throughout the race.
He also thanked the team, sponsors and Malaysian supporters for their continued encouragement throughout the championship.
The #38 Toyota Yaris of Hii and Ng finished fifth, while Teo and Wong brought the #9 Toyota Vios home in 12th. Wattanathanakun and Kalantananda were unable to start following the extensive damage sustained in Saturday’s accident.
December finale awaits
Both championships will return to Chang International Circuit for their respective season finales from 11 to 13 December 2026.
With two race victories secured and valuable lessons gained from a weekend of contrasting fortunes, Wing Hin Motorsports will now turn its attention towards the final round as it looks to close out its Thailand racing campaign on a strong note.
