SERDANG – Italian scooter icon Lambretta made a stylish statement at Art of Speed 2026 with the Malaysian debut of the all-new J200 and the unveiling of the refreshed X250GP Speedster, reinforcing its commitment to Malaysia with new products, retail expansion and a nationwide consumer campaign.
Inspired by the legendary J Series of the 1960s, the new Lambretta J200 brings together timeless Italian styling and modern engineering, staying faithful to the brand’s unmistakable design language while delivering a refined urban riding experience.

Officially launched by Bike Continent Sdn. Bhd., the authorised distributor of Lambretta in Malaysia, the J200 was introduced under the leadership of Managing Director Ronnie Chen. The event also featured representatives from Mofaz Motosikal Sdn. Bhd., responsible for vehicle importation, while Lambretta APAC Director Pierre Sainton led the official product presentation.
The new J200 retains Lambretta’s signature all-steel monocoque body construction, iconic long-and-low proportions and Double Arm-Link front suspension. Modern touches include a full LED lighting system, digital TFT display and a 174.5cc liquid-cooled engine producing 17hp, promising a balance of classic character and contemporary performance.
Designed primarily for city commuting, the J200 features a rider-friendly 790mm seat height while maintaining the premium craftsmanship and distinctive styling that have defined Lambretta for more than seven decades.
Alongside the J200, Lambretta also introduced the refreshed X250GP Speedster. The latest version adopts a more aggressive visual identity inspired by classic Grand Prix racing motorcycles, combining heritage-inspired side stripes with flame-inspired graphics.
The X250GP Speedster will be offered in three new colour options—Aurora Grey Matte, Super Black and Latte Brown—giving riders greater freedom to express their individual style.

Beyond new models, Lambretta also announced the expansion of its Malaysian dealer network with three new authorised showrooms in Shah Alam, Kota Bharu and Setapak. The additions bring the brand’s nationwide presence to 10 authorised dealerships, further strengthening customer access and after-sales support.
The launch also marked the start of the “VICO Bytes to Ride” campaign, a collaboration between Lambretta and VICO running from Aug 1 to Sept 30, 2026. Eight winners will be selected every week to receive an exclusive Lambretta J200 VICO Edition, providing Malaysian consumers with a unique opportunity to own the newly launched scooter.
The introduction of the J200 reflects Lambretta’s strategy of combining heritage-inspired design with modern technology, ensuring the iconic Italian marque continues to appeal to both loyal enthusiasts and a new generation of urban riders.
