One of the island-bound lane at the midspan section of the Penang Bridge will be second starting tomorrow, February 26 for a six month duration as part of the year-long maintenance program.
The lane closure will last until August 21.
PLUS Malaysia Berhad will be setting up a contraflow using a lane from the mainland-bound during the peak hours in the morning and evening to ease the congestion expected. They also urge motorist heading to the island during peak hours to consider using the second Penang bridge or the ferry instead.
