Just 69 units of BYD’s most powerful ATTO 3 yet will be offered in Malaysia, combining 4.0-second acceleration with everyday SUV practicality.
Petaling Jaya – Malaysia’s electric vehicle scene gets a serious performance injection as BYD Sime Motors introduces the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance, a limited-edition variant producing a combined 330kW of power and 560Nm of torque.
Timed to coincide with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebration, only 69 units of the new Performance variant will be made available locally, giving the latest ATTO 3 an added layer of exclusivity.
Priced at RM149,800, the Performance sits above the existing ATTO 3 Ultra and Premium variants, completing the 2026 Malaysian line-up with a clear focus on outright performance.
The new ATTO 3 Performance builds on the familiar electric SUV formula with significantly more power, all-wheel drive and sharper acceleration, while retaining the comfort, practicality and safety features expected from an everyday family-friendly EV.
Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain delivers a combined 330kW and 560Nm, making it the most powerful BYD ATTO 3 to date. The result is a claimed 0–100km/h time of just 4.0 seconds.
That puts the Performance in a very different league from the standard ATTO 3 variants. The Ultra produces 150kW and 310Nm, while the Premium delivers 230kW and 380Nm.
Despite the performance upgrade, BYD has not turned the ATTO 3 into a single-purpose speed machine.
The Performance variant is equipped with a 74.88kWh BYD Blade Battery, supports DC fast charging of up to 220kW and offers a claimed 530km NEDC driving range.
The combination means the Performance retains the versatility required for daily commuting while adding considerably more punch for highway driving and weekend trips.
Inside, the Performance continues with the ATTO 3’s comfort-focused cabin and familiar technology package, while adding several upgrades. These include a Windscreen Head-Up Display (W-HUD) and, for the first time in the ATTO 3 range, a vehicle refrigerator with both cooling and heating functions.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems carried over from the Premium variant include Intelligent Speed Limit Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Front Cross Traffic Alert and Front Cross Traffic Brake.
The Performance also comes with the ATTO 3’s practical SUV packaging, including up to 1,360 litres of luggage capacity, plus a 101-litre front trunk.
