Plug-in hybrid SUV combines rugged adventure styling with 100+km electric range, Level 2 ADAS and a starting price of RM162,800
KUALA LUMPUR — JETOUR Malaysia has officially launched the JETOUR T2 i-DM, bringing a plug-in hybrid powertrain to the brand’s adventure-oriented SUV and adding a new electrified option to Malaysia’s increasingly competitive SUV market.
Combining a 1.5-litre TGDi dedicated hybrid engine, 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and dual electric motors, the T2 i-DM produces a combined output of up to 265kW and 610Nm.
More importantly for drivers looking beyond outright performance, the PHEV offers a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,200km, alongside more than 100km of pure electric driving range.
The result is an SUV designed to bridge two worlds — electric driving for everyday urban duties and hybrid power for longer-distance journeys, road trips and weekend escapes.

Five ways to put the hybrid system to work
At the heart of the T2 i-DM is JETOUR’s Intelligent Dual-Mode (i-DM) hybrid system, which automatically manages electric and hybrid propulsion depending on driving conditions.
The system operates across five scenarios.
EV Drive is aimed at residential areas and low-speed driving, while Series Hybrid is designed for urban traffic. When more performance is required, Dual Power Boost combines the available power sources for overtaking and hill climbing.
For higher-speed cruising, Parallel Hybrid provides hybrid propulsion, while Regenerative Braking recovers energy during braking and downhill driving.
The system is supported by an 18.4kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with IP68 water and dust protection, a high-strength casing with underbody protection, high-temperature resistance and rapid high-voltage power cut-off.
The T2 i-DM also supports up to 3.3kW of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing compatible electrical equipment to be powered directly from the vehicle.
Charging for the daily grind — and the weekend escape
JETOUR has equipped the T2 i-DM with multiple charging options.
A 57kW DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% state of charge in 27 minutes or less, while a 6.6kW AC wallbox takes three hours or less to charge from 30% to 100%.
For greater flexibility, a 2.2kW portable AC charger can complete the same 30% to 100% charge in six hours or less.
Actual charging times and output will vary depending on the charging equipment and operating conditions.
Still unmistakably T2
While electrification is the big headline, JETOUR has retained the rugged design language that defines the T2.
The SUV features Auto LED Headlamps with JETOUR Signature Wordlight, 20-inch Trailblazer Alloy Wheels, Door Mirrors Reversing Mode and a rear-mounted spare tyre, complemented by an electric suction back door.
Inside, the T2 i-DM gets a technology-focused cabin built around a 15.6-inch multimedia display with a dedicated hybrid interface.
A Sony 12-speaker premium audio system, 50W wireless charger, front memory seats with Welcome Function, ventilated front seats, illuminated crystal gear knob, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and Cosmic Multicolour Ambient Lighting add a more premium touch.
For the VelocityVibes crowd, the V2L function could also prove particularly interesting — turning the T2 i-DM into more than just a means of getting to the campsite, road trip stop or outdoor event.
Level 2 ADAS comes standard
The T2 i-DM is also equipped with a Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) package.
Safety and driver-assistance features include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Assist Intervention (LAI), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent High Beam (IHB).
Passive and active safety equipment includes a high-strength steel body structure, six SRS airbags, Panoramic View Monitoring System and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
Priced at RM162,800
The JETOUR T2 i-DM is priced at RM162,800 in Malaysia.
For the first 2,000 registrations, JETOUR is offering an Early Bird Package worth up to RM3,000.
Customers can choose between a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger with installation or RM2,000 worth of ChargeSini charging credit, together with a complimentary V2L adapter cable. Terms and conditions apply.
Financing is available with interest rates starting from 1.68%, subject to terms and conditions.
JETOUR is also backing the T2 i-DM with a substantial warranty package:
- 7 years / 150,000km vehicle warranty
- 8 years / 160,000km high-voltage battery warranty
- 10 years / 1,000,000km engine warranty
- Five free service sessions, whichever comes first
Added protection for PHEV ownership
The JETOUR Insurance Programme further extends protection for T2 i-DM owners, including coverage of up to RM5,000 for the 7kW AC wallbox charger.
Third-party personal liability coverage of up to RM50,000 is also provided for bodily injury, death or property damage arising from the use or operation of the EV charger.
As part of the launch campaign, Special Perils Coverage will be offered to the first 2,000 registered T2 i-DM owners or until 28 February 2027, whichever comes first.
A T2 for the electrified road ahead
With its combination of a claimed 1,200km overall range, 100+km electric driving capability, 265kW of combined power and the established rugged character of the T2, the JETOUR T2 i-DM enters Malaysia positioned around flexibility rather than simply being another electrified SUV.
For urban users, its EV capability can handle everyday driving, while the hybrid system provides a longer-distance option when the itinerary stretches beyond the city.
