The Anglo-Indian style will carry design inspired by the island’s unique heritage and style, featuring an eclectic mix of contemporary furniture with local elements and warm timber tones. True to the British colonial days, Gin Library will be serving a collection of gin and malt whiskey spirits and hand-crafted cocktails.

According to the Tropicana Berhad, the launch of the hotel aims to further energize the tourism industry and increase employment opportunities to boost the local economy.
“We recognize that this is a challenging time for hotel operators, however, with the support and swift action from both the state and federal governments in controlling and combating Covid-19, we are optimistic that the local tourism scene is slowly but steadily recovering, even as our international borders remain closed,” Dion Tan, Tropicana Group Managing Director said.
“I am excited to welcome guests to the new Courtyard by Marriott Penang,” said Subash Basrur, General Manager. “There is a lot of anticipation for the launch of the Courtyard by Marriott brand in Malaysia and we are committed to delivering a welcoming experience that inspires and re-energizes guests at an affordable price point.
