KUALA LUMPUR, 30TH JUNE 2024 – Vespa Day, held on 29th June 2024 at The Landing KL (KL Base), Sungai Besi, was a celebration of the most iconic scooters in history. The event brought together Vespa enthusiast, collectors and curious public for a day of filled with camaraderie and excitement.
Since its inception in 1946, Vespa has symbolized Italian style, innovation, and freedom. Vespa Day was a heartfelt tribute to this legendary scooter and the vibrant community it has inspired
worldwide. Vespa Day is dedicated to celebrating the rich heritage and culture of Vespa. It aims to bring together enthusiasts and share the joy and passion that Vespas inspire.
Some of the highlights of the event were the Vespa Parade where the streets of Kuala Lumpur came alive with the vibrant sight of 2,000 Vespa cruising through the city. The convoy started at The Landing KL and made its way to Dataran Merdeka. This parade brought together riders from all across the region in spectacular display of classic vintage to the latest innovation of Vespa.
Another highlight was the Vintage and Modern Vespa Display where attendees marvelled at the collection of vintage Vespas, tracing evolution from 1958 model to contemporary limited-edition models. The complete range from 300cc to 125cc displayed all around the event. Special highlight was the New Vespa Sprint & Primavera 2024 which are a harmonious combination of timeless, state-of-the-art design and the latest technological equipment, which is pleased to gratify each unique personality.The display was a testament to Vespa’s timeless appeal and design excellence. So, whatever you choose, there is the right Vespa for you.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by live performances from local bands and entertainers, adding to the vibrancy of the day as well as having the attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious food and drinks from local vendors, further fostering the community spirit that Vespa Day embodies.
The event was graced by Mr Simone Niccolai, Managing Director, Piaggio Asia Pacific and partners from other countries who shared their passion about the iconic scooter. Their presence added depth
and context to the celebration, making it even more memorable.
