JETOUR Malaysia Marks World Tourism Day Through Travel, Culture and Community

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 September 2026 — As World Tourism Day approaches on 27 September, JETOUR Malaysia is highlighting the role of travel in connecting people with places, cultures and communities through its Travel+ philosophy.

Rather than viewing travel simply as the journey from one destination to another, JETOUR’s Travel+ philosophy focuses on the experiences, relationships and discoveries that make each journey meaningful. In Malaysia, the philosophy has recently been brought to life through a series of activities combining mobility, local culture, outdoor experiences and community participation.

One of the highlights was the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2026, held at KLCC on 19 September, which attracted more than 20,000 participants for a celebration of movement, music and Malaysian culture.

JETOUR Malaysia participated as the event’s Title Sponsor and Official Car Partner, with the occasion also serving as a platform to bring together the brand’s growing owner community.

More than 100 JETOUR owners took part in a city convoy, while the event also marked the launch of the JETOUR T2 i-DM PHEV in Malaysia.

The evening concluded with a drone show above the Kuala Lumpur skyline featuring the messages “TRAVEL WITH JETOUR”, “World Tourism Day” and “Visit Malaysia 2026–2027”. The newly launched T2 i-DM PHEV was also showcased in formation against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic landmarks.

Content from the event, including livestreams and video coverage, was subsequently shared across JETOUR’s international platforms, providing audiences outside Malaysia with a glimpse of the celebration while contributing to the wider international visibility of Malaysia during the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign.

Building Connections Through Local Partnerships

JETOUR Malaysia’s relationship with the Malaysia Sarong Music Run dates back to 2025, and the partnership is set to continue through a new three-year collaboration with the Malaysia Marathon organiser covering 2027 to 2029.

The collaboration will explore opportunities to promote local travel culture and develop outdoor lifestyle experiences, reflecting a shared interest in bringing communities together through movement, travel and exploration.

The Malaysia Sarong Music Run also provided a platform for JETOUR Malaysia to strengthen its connections with local organisations.

The brand formed partnerships with Marine Conservation and Research Organisation Malaysia (PULIHARA) and Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia (TCS), bringing together mobility, travel and environmental conservation.

Representatives from both organisations were also recognised as JETOUR Travel Ambassadors, highlighting the connection between travel experiences and the importance of protecting Malaysia’s natural environment.

The initiative reflects JETOUR’s broader approach of incorporating local communities and organisations into its Travel+ philosophy, particularly around experiences that encourage people to discover and appreciate Malaysia.

“Guided by JETOUR’s global philosophy of ‘In somewhere, for somewhere, Be somewhere’, we hope to use mobility as a way to connect our Travel+ philosophy with local culture,” said Ke Chuandeng, President of JETOUR International.

“By building stronger connections with local customers and partners, we aim to create better mobility experiences while becoming part of the communities and places where we operate.”

As World Tourism Day puts the spotlight on the role of tourism in connecting people and communities, JETOUR Malaysia’s activities demonstrate how mobility can become part of the wider travel experience — from discovering local culture and exploring the outdoors to engaging with the communities and conservation efforts that make destinations distinctive.
