Kuala Lumpur, 18 December 2022 – Malaysia’s largest and longest-running animation, comics and games convention, Comic Fiesta 2022 returns to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) after a two-year hiatus to bring Malaysian anime, comics and games (ACG) fans the best creative content
this side of the world has to offer.

Comic Fiesta has been held in KLCC for over six years now, but this time around, they have more space than ever before, and is host to over 65,000 visitors throughout two days as well as over 500 creative booth spaces in the convention centre’s new halls, selling various self-made and fan
merchandises, making it the largest local creative market to date as well.
Speaking about this year’s content for Comic Fiesta, Comic Fiesta Vice President, Mr Lim Chin Hwa, said, “After two years of the pandemic, we’ve noticed a huge spike in interest in ACG-related events.

With Comic Fiesta’s scale and reach, we’ve looked to give our visitors the best way to end the year as ACG fans by introducing a slew of local and international acts, including song artistes, comic artists, cosplayers and even VTubers.”
With 2022 also being the 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy, a joint-collaboration with the government of Japan, Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur and Comic Fiesta collaborated to bring over one of Japan’s top anime pop stars, Konomi Suzuki for a one-night concert that was attended by 2000 fans. She is known for performing the opening themes for animes such as No Game No Life, Re:Zero, Sakurasou Pet no Kanojo and So I’m A Spider, So What?.
Even local celebrity Elizabeth Tan joined in on the fun by attending and cosplaying as Yor Forger from the popular anime, Spy x Family. She even asked her followers suggestions on what she should cosplay as next time.

As always, our team of tireless photographers from Ronin Imagez, Zoomtoinspire, ShutterbugVK, and Clarah Photography has braved the massive crowds to bring you some of the outstanding cosplays in Comic Fiesta 2022.
