The South Korean entertainment industry will kick off 2023 with one of the longest running award ceremonies – the 32nd Seoul Music Award which is scheduled to take place at the Olympic Gymnastic Arena in Olympic Park, Seoul, South Kore on January 19, 2023.
The Seoul Music Award is hosted by Sports Seoul, a local newspaper since 1990 in which artists of all genres, including ballads, hip-hop, R&B, and bands, are honored for their professionalism and diversity over the past year.
A few of the notable and highly-anticipated artists shortlisted to receive the Main Award (Bonsang) include BTS, (G)I-dle, Lim Young-Woong, Blackpink, Girls’ Generation, Twice, Ateez, Kang Daniel and Monsta X. To increase global viewership, the Seoul Music Awards has teamed up with Yippi to stream the auspicious event though the Yippi Live app for the very first time. The Red Carpet event will begin at 4.00 pm +8GMT, followed by the actual
event at 6.00 pm +8GMT.
